Rebekah Downing

Rebekah Downing, originally from Charlotte, trained at North Carolina Dance Theatre before attending North Carolina School of the Arts.

After receiving her diploma she switched her concentration from ballet to contemporary and remained at NCSA for 2 years. She transferred to Codarts School of the Arts in Rotterdam, Holland where she received her BFA.

After touring the country with her class, she was picked up by Lonneke Van Leth choreographer in Den Haag.

After 2 seasons dancing in Den Haag, Rebekah relocated back to the US. Since then, she has performed original works by Alonzo King, Larry Keigwin, Helen Simoneau, and Victor Plotnikov.

In addition to being a guest teacher at The Edge, Bekah is a talented freelance artist and teacher.
